Ride up canyon through the meadows to Burro Pass. Expansive views of the Sawtooth Ridge.
Day 4: Matterhorn Canyon to Benson Lake 10 milesThis remote part of Yosemite has beautiful vistas of glacial polished mountains, lush meadows and wildflowers. We climb to the top of Benson Pass and meander down to Smedberg Lake. Volunteer Peak frames the panoramic view to the west. Riders descend to Benson Lake. Called the Riviera of the Sierra for the largest sand beach in Yosemite.

Riders ascend 1,400 ft to climb over Seavey Pass before dropping into Kerrick Meadows. View the wide and scenic Kerrick Meadows before heading down Rancheria Creek for camp at Lower Kerrick.
Day 6: Kerrick Canyon Camp to Tilden LakeThis is a challenging and remote section of the High Sierra. Riders descend to Stubblefield Canyon before climbing up towards Tilden lake.
Day 7:LAYOVEREnjoy the tranquility of Tilden Lake.
Day 8: Tilden Lake to Dorothy Lake 7 milesThe trail follows Falls Creek through the vast Grace Meadow.
Day 9: Dorothy Lake to Lower Piute Meadow 8 milesRiders head down through forests and meadows passing several lakes before meeting the West Fork of the West Walker River. This part of the Hoover Wilderness.

It is a beautiful ride through the magnificent Piute Meadows at the foot of Tower Peak. As the route follows the West Walker River you will travel through the meadows interspersed with pine forests and aspen.
