REMINDERS TO HELP YOU & YOUR PACKER:

1. 7 a.m. arrival at pack station requested unless advised otherwise. Breakfast available at lodge or resort while mules are being loaded.

2. Sleeping bags should be rolled tightly (long way) and personal items should be brought in duffel or safari bags securely fastened so they won't leak on the trail.

3. Axes and saws should have sheath or cardboard around blade.

4. Fishing rods must be in metal or stout cases with secure ends.

5. Tent poles should be reduced to shortest size bundle possibleand securely tied so poles won't slip out.

6. Release pressure in lanterns and stoves and fill square gas cans about 1" from top. Turn upside down to check for leaks.

7. Our pack boxes are about 24" x 10" x 15" deep (inside measure).

8. If you have your own pack boxes, pack tightly and in pairs equally balanced between 50 and 60 lbs.

9. No improved campsites in wilderness; each party must bring own grill, stove and tables.

10. Bring canned and bottled goods separated from soft packaged items and perishables. Leave eggs in grocers cartons.

FOOD SUGGESTIONS

1. Make menu for each day of trip-this can include fresh meat for first few days. Most fruits and vegetables will keep ten days or more. Many people crave sweets more when in the mountains.

2. Prepare exact shopping list of quantities indicated by your menu. Don't forget to provide for your packer for the time he is with you.

KITCHEN EQUIPMENT
Kitchen supplies will depend on menu you prepare. Many of your kitchen supplies can be packed in one or two square 5 gallon tins which will serve as water bucket and dishpan. If tins are packed to 25 or 30 lbs., we need not disturb contents.
