You have the choice of going to either the Bodie Overlook or Blue Lake. Both rides are suitable for beginner riders and pass through the beautiful sagebrush flora of the eastern Sierra with stunning views.

Summit Lake & Yosemite’s Peaks
A stunning four-hour ride on horseback to the top of Burro Pass where you can look out on Summit Lake and the peaks of northern Yosemite. Return to the pack station includes panoramic views of the picturesque alpine lakes and the mountains of Virginia Lakes Canyon. This horseback ride near Yosemite is a fantastic half-day adventure!
What To Bring
- Sunscreen and bug spray (apply before getting in the saddle!)
- Sunglasses
- Sturdy shoes or boots
- Hat (either a baseball cap or a hat that has a chinstrap)
- Jacket/sweater recommended (your jacket can be tied on the back of your saddle)
- Bottle of water

- Snacks
- We will furnish a small horn-bag for your water bottle and small personal items. Be sure that your “carry-on” gear (camera, snacks, water) weigh no more than three pounds.
